Brushes are ideal if you want to create a softer, attenuated sound with your drums. As such, brushes are often used for playing Jazz music. These nylon brushes produce a clear sound on the snare and are easy to use. They feature retractable bristles so that you can fine-tune the sound to suit your needs. Furthermore, the handle is made of anti-slip rubber and fits perfectly in your hand, while the spread of the bristles can be adjusted from 3 inches (7.6 cm) to 6 inches (15.2 cm)

Ik speel jazz en gebruik deze brushes met groot plezier. Ze zijn uitschuifbaar, zodat je de intensiteit kan veranderen. De feel en geluid tussen deze en metalen brushes liggen niet ver uit elkaar en het biedt 2 grote pluspunten:
1 Nieuwe gecoate vellen gaan veel langer mee (ideaal om thuis te oefenen aan je brusche techniek)
2 Op gladde vellen (of oudere gecoate vellen) geeft het iets meer volume dan metalen brushes. Erg handig als je in de oefenruimte een snare heb, met een wat ouder vel.
Ik heb deze brushes alleen gebruikt op een akoestisch drumstel.

Brushes liggen goed in de hand, de gevoeligheid kan je door verder in of uit schuiven ook nog wat bijstellen. Het geluid is prima (hangt uiteraard ook af van je instrument). Ik gebruik deze in combinatie met de gele versie (rock).
ook op de cajon is de aanslag prima.
